The ACD SEAS/Sesi/Sequav Swim Team is participating in the 2022 School Paralympic Games Sao Paulo Regional Round 3 at the Sao Paulo Paralympic Training Center Wednesday through Friday (7am to 9am), 8am to 6pm. (SP): The Sorocabana delegation was formed by athletes Caua Oliveira Manzano Asensio and Tais Vinholo Jimenez.
The School Paralympic Games have been conceived and organized by the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB) since 2009 and are the world’s largest event for school-aged children with disabilities. The competition features 192 swimmers from the states of São Paulo, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, in addition to athletics and bocce competitors, for a total of 597 participants.
The top three finishers in this year’s track and field and swimming regional rounds will automatically qualify for the national round, which will take place from November 23rd to 25th, also at Paralympic CT in Sao Paulo. In Bocce, the top two by gender will win a spot.
The ACD Swimming team trains at the Sesi Sorocaba pool on Mondays and Wednesdays from 19:00 to 20:30 and sometimes on Fridays. The group includes athletes from the age of 13, people with physical, visual or mental disabilities, who represent Sorokaba in several official competitions.
