THE: Jeep This Thursday, 8 announced its next generation of all-electric vehicles. Over the next two years, the brand will begin selling two electrified SUVs in the US and one in Europe. “Today’s news from the Jeep brand is another example of how our American brands are transforming to support our aggressive decarbonization programs,” Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said in a statement.
The new cars are the brand’s first electric vehicles, and executives promise they will be capable of off-road travel. They are the Jeep Recon, an all-wheel drive mid-size SUV, and the Wagoneer S, a mid-size luxury SUV. Both are expected to be manufactured in an as-yet-undisclosed location in the US. Price not published.

The Jeep Avenger, a compact SUV, will be launched in Europe and other markets such as Japan and South Korea, and will be manufactured at the Tychy plant in Poland. With a range of 400 kilometers, it will be presented on October 17 at the Paris Motor Show. And it will appear in showrooms in early 2023.
The Recon, however, will not replace the small Jeep Wrangler SUV, said Christian Meunier, CEO of the brand. Jeep, he said, is on track to become the world’s leading zero-emission SUV brand. The company plans to sell the SUV in China, executives said.
