The death of Bill Russell this Sunday shocked the social networks. As soon as it became known about the death of the legendary NBA player, such celebrities as Magic Johnson, Barack Obama and Billie Jean King paid tribute to the idol. The only team where Russell played as an athlete, the Boston Celtics, made a number of records, placing him in the ranks of “the greatest champion of this sport”.

Rival clubs such as the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls were not far behind in their tributes. As well as the Brazilians Anderson Varejo and Thiago Splitter, who mentioned the idea of paying tribute to the idol in their social networks.
