The Navy has issued a hangover alert, set to begin at 9 p.m. tonight and remain in effect until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
After intense heat in Rio de Janeiro on Friday (9) and Saturday (10), temperatures began to drop last night due to the arrival of a cold front in the state. Alerta Rio predicts that the temperature will not exceed 24ºC this Sunday (11), with an overnight low of 14ºC.
Today will be cloudy to cloudy with a chance of rain and light rain in the afternoon and light to moderate winds between 18.5 km/h and 51.9 km/h.
For the start of the week, Alerta Rio reports that no rain should come until Wednesday (14), with temperatures rising to 30ºC on Tuesday (13) but keeping the minimum in the 15ºC range.
The navy has issued a hangover warning, set to start at 9pm tonight and in effect until 9am on Tuesday, with waves of 2.5m to 3m forecast on the outskirts of the city.
The municipality’s operations center advises to avoid sea bathing and other water sports during a hangover, and to stay away from edges or places close to the sea, including bike paths, in case they are hit by waves.
